Character Design and Storyboarding

Join us for three exciting days of character design and storyboarding. Learn how your favorite artists create characters that make us laugh, cry, and hide under the blankets. Use familiar and popular characters to help you design your own unique persona, and then lay the foundation for your own animation, through storyboarding.

Throughout these sessions, you will examine how professionals use shapes, colors, and silhouette to create those iconic characters we enjoy so much.

You will learn:

  • How the design of characters influence our reactions to them
  • The character design process
  • Basic storyboarding and animation planning

Note: This is a non-digital workshop; students need no knowledge of computers to participate.

This course is open to students age 13 - 17 years old.
