Cybersecurity and Encryption

This hands-on workshop explores different ways you can protect your online security, as well as how networked computers communicate with one another and how systems can become compromised. You will learn about data encryption techniques and career opportunities in cyber security.

You will learn:

  • Network vulnerabilities and strategies to protect one’s online identity
  • The math and programming of encryption
  • Online safety practices and ethics

This course is open to students entering Grades 8 through 12.

Students must have completed either Video Game Programming Level 1: 2D Video Games or Scholars Computer Science to enroll in this workshop.
