Getting Ready for your ProjectFUN Workshops

Summer Workshops 2018 are almost here!

Quick Need-To-Knows:

  • Plan to arrive early on Day 1 and stay for a quick parent orientation
  • Email us at notifyK12@digipen.edu to let us know about absences, early pick-ups, or other attendance alerts.
  • After-Workshop Activities run supervised Monday - Thursday.
    • The first Friday of Junior and Teen Workshops, we host a Friends & Family BBQ during After-Workshop Activities, we encourage you to attend!
    • Student Showcase happens during the last hour of the final Friday- everyone is welcome! No After-Workshop Activities occur this day.

Tuition Policy

Registrations are accepted with a deposit only through April 30th.  After April 30th, tuition is due in full. 

Workshop Cancellation

If a Summer Workshop is canceled for any reason, you will be notified no later than 14 days before the workshop’s start date. You then have the option of selecting a different workshop, or being refunded the full amount.

Transferring Workshops

Transferring into a different workshop is allowed as long as there is space in the new course. Transferring into a more expensive workshop requires you to pay the difference, but transferring into a less expensive workshop will refund the difference.  There are no fees.  Transfers must be processed by our admin team, please email projectfun@digipen.edu or call Monday- Friday 9:00 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Waitlist 

Workshops at capacity have an available waitlist. This waitlist runs on a first-come, first-serve basis. If space becomes available, an email is automatically sent out to all families on the waitlist, and registration is open for that workshop.  Parents may then register online as usual, or contact our office during business hours for a transfer. Once the space has been claimed, the waitlist is reactivated.

Withdrawal

Parents can withdraw their student from a ProjectFUN Summer Workshop by April 30, 2018 to receive tuition refunded minus the non-refundable deposit.  Deposits vary by workshop type.  Parents who withdraw their student from a ProjectFUN course or workshop after April 30, 2018 will receive no refund for fees paid.

After a withdrawal, non-refundable funds will be held on your account and applicable on workshops until registration closes for the following summer (August 2019 for Summer 2018 workshops).

ProjectFUN is pleased to offer a variety of discounts for our Summer Workshop participants!

Summer 2018 Workshop Discounts

Early Bird Discount [expired]

Automatically applies when you register and pay the non-refundable deposit/application fee by April 10th, 2018.

Multi-Workshop Discount

Automatically applies on every workshop after the first for each student.

-For example, if a student registers for three Young Explorers Summer Workshops in the same summer, she would receive a 15% discount on her second workshop and her third workshop.

Sibling Discount OR Loyalty Discount

Each sibling enrolled can receive 10% off, as can students that have taken workshops with us in years past. Effective on registrations placed after April 10th.

Refer-a-Friend*

Discount is available for each qualifying friend that registers for a workshop after your referral. See below for full details!

Discounts are not available for the Pre-College Program or online programs, however applicants may qualify for need-based scholarships. See Scholarships for more information.

Refer a Friend

Receiving a discount on an upcoming ProjectFUN workshop is as simple as referring a friend!

Log in to your account and fill out the Refer a Friend: Summer Workshops form to recommend us to your friends.  When they register with the email you used, you will automatically receive a coupon code.  Alternately, both you and your friend can email us at projectfun@digipen.edu to confirm the referral.

To qualify, referrals must:

a) not have previously enrolled in a ProjectFUN program;

b) not be a member of your immediate family; and

c) must not list you as a referral themselves.

There is no limit to the number of families that you can refer, and there is no time limit between when you make the referral and when your friend makes a Summer Workshops purchase. 

Scholarships

Each year, DigiPen Institute of Technology offers a limited number of need-based scholarships to students who may not otherwise be able to attend a ProjectFUN program.

Tax Breaks

If your student is under the age of 13, you may be eligible to count a ProjectFUN Summer Workshop as an expense toward the Child and Dependent Care Credit. Visit the IRS website for more information. DigiPen Institute of Technology's tax ID number is 91-1946296.

DigiPen's ProjectFUN offers workshops, camps and college prep courses for kids and teens. Technology courses are held in Redmond, WA (near Seattle and Bellevue), and online.
