This fine arts course, based on DigiPen college curriculum, delves into the development of foundational art skills in drawing and color. You are taught the nature of drawing as a language skill, with special consideration given to applied observational drawing goals and critical thinking skills. You also learn the fundamentals of color theory. By the end of the course, you will have experience with basic drawing and painting materials and a strategy to continue the development of your artistic skills.
This course assumes no prior art experience, but is intended for those who are seriously considering a career in traditional or digital art.
