Program Tracks

Scholars Art

This fine arts course, based on DigiPen college curriculum, delves into the development of foundational art skills in drawing and color. Students are taught the nature of drawing as a language skill, with special consideration given to applied observational drawing goals and critical thinking skills. Students also learn the fundamentals of color theory and the jargon of artists that allows them to successfully work with color. By the end of the course, students will have experience with basic drawing and painting materials and a strategy to continue the development of their artistic skills.

This course assumes no prior art experience, but is intended for those students who are seriously considering a career in traditional or digital art.

Scholars Computer Science
