Junior Programming Level 2

New in 2016!

Expanding on the knowledge and skills learned in Junior Programming Level 1, students will study more advanced Java programming concepts allowing them to create more exciting and robust games. Topics covered include functions, strings, classes and objects. This workshop includes larger game projects that incorporate concepts from both Junior Programming Level 1 and Level 2.

Students will learn:
  • Intermediate Java programming concepts and object oriented principles
  • Design and execution of larger programming projects

Prerequisites

This course is open to students entering Grades 4 through 7.

Students must have completed Junior Programming Level 1 to enroll in this workshop.

Junior Workshop hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m – 3:30 p.m. Students should arrive no more than 30 minutes prior to the start of class. There are free optional after-workshop activities most days from 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm.*

*Due to the July 4th holiday, Session 2 hours will be 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.  After-workshop activities will be from 4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
