This fine arts course, based on DigiPen college curriculum, delves into the development of foundational art skills in drawing, color, and ceramics. Students are taught the nature of drawing as a language skill, with special consideration given to applied observational drawing goals and critical thinking skills. Students then learn the fundamental of color theory and the basic techniques required to successfully work with color through painting. Lastly, students will be exposed to ceramics as an expressive art form. This course is equivalent to .5 art credit.
All materials and books will be included in the additional course materials fee ($75), which is due upon registration, along with the $195 deposit.
This course is open to students in Grades 8 through 12. There are no academic prerequisites for this course.

The tuition for Studio Art is $595 per 16-week session. A $195 non-refundable deposit is due at the time of registration. This workshop requires a $75 materials fee also due upon registration. The remaining $400 must be paid by the registration deadline.
