This challenging course, based on DigiPen college curriculum, introduces students to C programming and helps them understand the role of computation in solving problems. Students learn the fundamentals of programming, including conditions, loops, input/output mechanics, and basic data types such as arrays and structures. Participants will also learn software development techniques and best practices as they write small programs that allow them to accomplish useful goals.
This course assumes no prior programming experience, but is intended for those students who are seriously considering a career in computer science.
This course is open to students in Grades 8 through 12. There are no academic prerequisites for this course.

The tuition for Scholars Computer Science is $1190 per 32-week session. A $390 non-refundable deposit is due at the time of registration. A total of $595 is due by September 5, 2016 and the remaining $595 is due by January 16, 2017.
