Throughout history, storytelling has been used as a way to express very personal feelings and experiences around the world. This course helps students explore how oral narrative, art, music, dance, film, and now interactive technology can be used by today's storytellers. Going beyond learning about story structure and story writing techniques, students will develop skills to present their story to an audience in an engaging manner. In addition, students will gain experience using a variety of media tools to share their own interactive "choose your own adventure" story.
This a year-long course that spans two semesters. It is encouraged that students register for semester A and B.
This course is open to students in Grades 4 through 7. There are no academic prerequisites for this course.
