What keeps objects in motion? How does light and sound travel? How do magnets work? Students will get an engaging look at physics to build a solid basic understanding of concepts such as kinds of energy, kinetic energy, chemical energy, electricity, light and sounds, as well as magnetism. Classes will include lab experiments designed to emphasize the scientific process. This will help kids to consider hypotheses, to design experiments to test their theory, to record what they discover, and to present their findings to the class.
All materials and books will be included in the additional course materials fee ($75), which is due upon registration, along with the $195 deposit.
This course is open to students in Grades 1 through 3. There are no academic prerequisites for this course.
Refer to the Homeschool Programs page for the 2016 - 2017 school year schedule.
The tuition for Exploring Physics is $595 per 16-week session. A $195 non-refundable deposit is due at the time of registration. This workshop requires a $75 materials fee also due upon registration. The remaining $400 must be paid by the registration deadline.
