Students will dive deeper into their art knowledge by looking at new artists not introduced in level 1, while further emphasizing their exploration of different themes and techniques demonstrated in those artists' drawings, paintings, sculptures, and animations. This course, as in the first level, will still be very project-based and students will be further guided through the artistic process to develop artistic, critical, and problem solving skills through the creation of artistic projects using a variety of media including charcoal, painting, and clay. Students will go further in their demonstration of skills acquired in the first level as well as cover new techniques and mediums not covered in the first level. The classes are similar in structure and exploratory in nature, but the artists and themes will vary from level 1 to level 2.
There is no prerequisite for this course. All materials and books will be included in the additional course materials fee ($75), which is due upon registration, along with the $195 deposit.
