Getting Ready for Your ProjectFUN Workshop

Learn about drop-off/pick-up procedures, After-Workshop activities, lunch menus, and what to do if you have multiple children in different workshops.

First Day Guidelines

Students and parents should plan to arrive 30 minutes early for check-in on the first day of the Summer Workshop program for which they are enrolled.

Young Explorers Parents: Legal parents or guardians of students in a Young Explorers Workshop will need to complete the Young Explorers Pick-Up Authorization Form prior to the start of the workshop. This form designates who (besides the legal parent/guardian) is authorized to sign a student out of the workshop. In order to sign the student out, the person designated on the Pick-Up Authorization Form will also be required to present a photo ID at the time of pick-up.

Drop Off/Pick Up

Students cannot be dropped off more than 30 minutes before the start of any session. Students must be picked up within 10 minutes after the end of a session or within 10 minutes of the end of the After-Workshop Activities time slot (see below).

Failure to adhere to this schedule raises safety concerns for students, as there is only supervision during designated workshop and after-workshop hours. An early drop-off or late pick-up will result in a $1.00 fee for every minute you are early for drop off or late for pick-up. If a student is not picked up by 7:00 p.m., DigiPen will contact the local authorities for the next steps.

Parking Policies: Please make sure to park only in spaces marked with the DigiPen Logo or "Visitor", or in blank/undesignated parking spaces. Parking in spaces unaffiliated with DigiPen, or in spaces marked either "Reserved" or "Pro Sports Club," may result in your car being towed.

Siblings in Different Workshops

If a student has one or more siblings attending a Summer Workshop that begins at an earlier time, both students may be dropped off at the earlier time. Conversely, if one student's After-Workshop Activities end at a later time than the others, both students may be picked up at the later time.

For example, a Teen Workshop student has a sibling in a Young Explorers Workshop. A parent may drop off both students at 8:30 a.m. (when Young Explorers Workshops begin) and pick up both students by 5:30 p.m. (when Teen After-Workshop Activities end).

Other Information

After-Workshop Activities

Free, optional After-Workshop Activities are provided for students daily, with the exception of Final Showcase day.

Young Explorers and Junior Workshops: After-Workshop Activities are from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Students must be picked up by 5:10 p.m. to avoid incurring late fees.

Other Workshops: After-Workshop Activities are from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Students must be picked up by 5:40 p.m. to avoid incurring late fees.

Friends and Family Final Showcase

The ProjectFUN Friends and Family Final Showcase is an open house event that features the students' projects. Parents, extended family, and friends are encouraged to attend this event to celebrate all of the hard work and creativity of the students from the summer session. This showcase is also a great opportunity for family and friends to visit the classrooms and view the final projects of students in other workshops.
